5 Canadian chocolatiers making bitter & sweet magic

Chocolatier Constance Popp

Winnipeg, Manitoba

Looking for chocolate with a bit of a flavourful twist? That’s what Chocolatier Constance Popp offers – from their Flora & Fruit truffles to their Manitoba Beer Series, they’ve been redefining chocolate for Manitobans since 2007. Their signature chocolate bars, sold in a pack of six for $54 or individually for between $4 and $10, are a great way to try out these fun flavours.

All of their bars are made from premium criollo beans sourced from certified organic and fair trade plantations all over the world. The single-origin chocolates are then mixed in-house with local, 100%-Manitoban ingredients (like maple syrup, tequila or even red beets). Their flavours change with the seasons; the chocolates are made fresh daily, created into little pieces of art you can eat.

In additional to chocolates, Chocolatier Constance Popp offers pastries, cakes, cupcakes, macarons, frozen treats and chocolate drinks. You can order online; they ship anywhere in Canada for a flat shipping fee of $20.
